4th graders looked at work of artists Komar and Melamid, who surveyed the populations of different countries around the world to create the "most wanted" and "most unwanted" art. Here in Wilmington, we took that idea and brought it to 4th grade for Art for Others. Each student filled out a survey deciding what they liked most in their artwork, whether it was realistic or imaginative, inside or outside, in the city or at a farm, and so on. I then redistributed the surveys so that each 4th grader got the chance to make a classmate's "most wanted" painting. Make sure you check out the video of the 4th graders talking about their work at the end of the post!
