2nd Grade - Rainbow Patterns

This is a project that only a couple of 2nd grade classes were able to do because snow days and delays really took a toll on our mornings here in Wilmington for the last couple of months.  First, the second graders made a stencil and traced the pattern six times onto a strip of paper.  Then, we used only primary water colors to paint a rainbow in the six shapes before finishing by painting the background however we wanted.  All the different shapes from the kids made the artworks very unique!
