1st Grade - Seuss Animals
I'm not sure who loves Dr. Seuss more: me or first graders. For this project, I introduce them to Dr. Seuss' series of sculptures dubbed Unorthodox Taxidermy, inspired by some animal designs he created. Dr. Seuss often combined two or more different animals or objects for his invented animals, so we had fun guessing how Dr. Seuss came up with his ideas before making up our own. Here are just a few interesting examples. Can you guess what first graders combined for their Seussian animals?
